Johanna is an enterprising woman, 26 years old, who lives in the rural community of Nueva Unión in a modest prefabricated home. From a very young age, she learned the agricultural work with her family and today has over ten years of experience working in agriculture, specifically growing cacao, an activity which has become the primary sustenance for herself and her two children, who are studying at schools in the sector.

Johanna works family land where she plants and cares for her crops with the hope of improving her household's quality of life. Her greatest desire is to expand her agricultural production through the purchase of agricultural supplies, seeds, organic soil amendments, and more. For this reason, she ask Kiva for a loan so to continue growing as a farmer. Johanna dreams of having her own farm where she can build a house and develop more productive and sustainable crops to ensure stability and wellbeing for her family.
